The founders of ScopeSET are pioneers in OMG’s Model Driven Architecture (MDA) and have a long history in developing, selling and supporting solutions in the software engineering environment market space.

ScopeSET is jointly managed by Armin Müller (Technical) and Michael Benkel (Sales/Marketing).

Armin Müller
has been working in the software engineering industry since the early 90’s. In his previous position as Director of R&D he was responsible for the development and project management with global teams and outsourcing contractors. He also participated in strategic product planning, technology evaluations, acquisitions, due diligence projects and was involved in a successful ISO 9001 certification. Having started as a consulting, support and pre-sales engineer, he is very focused on providing customer oriented services. He has a thorough understanding of the software engineering market, its methods and tools, both structured and object oriented and is working as consultant for the European Space Agency.

Michael Benkel
has more than 30 years of experience in the software development market. As a consultant and trainer, his main focus has been conveying the usage of modern development methods including notations like OMT, Booch and finally UML. In his last Position as Director Product Marketing he was responsible for the strategic product planning of a Software engineering environment and it’s positioning in the market. He pioneered OMG’s Model Driven Architecture (MDA) with a clear focus on software automation, published several articles on this topic. He is also a speaker on international conferences and ScopeSETs representative in projects founded by the European Union.
